A voyage in wine, food and maritime history
Set sail with us on a journey inspired by the travels of Barnacle Bill, the sailor behind our name.
From Liverpool to Bordeaux, Australia, Argentina and South Africa before sailing home again, each port of call brings a glass of regional wine presented by wine expert Jane Clare, paired with a small plate from the Barnacle kitchen. Along the way, maritime historian Peter Elson will share the stories behind each route, why Bill sailed them, and the real links between Barnacle and Liverpool’s maritime past.
Served at shared tables in the restaurant, it’s an evening of good wine, great food and better company. Your crew for the night might just be the people sat beside you.
